Tenured/Tenure-Track: Associate Professor or Full Professor in Robotics

Position Associate Professor or Full Professor in Robotics – Full‑time, 9‑month faculty position at the start of Fall 2026 in Houston, TX. Responsibilities Maintain a high-impact, externally funded research program in robotics to address challenges in human health. Teach courses to medical and graduate students. Mentor graduate students and medical students in research and innovation. Collaborate with engineering and medical faculty to integrate engineering with medicine in research and teaching. Collaborate with clinicians, industry partners, and multidisciplinary teams to translate research into practice. Contribute to the department and profession through service activities. Qualifications Required: Medical degree (MD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in robotics or a closely related field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science). Equivalent clinical MD candidates with a strong record of robotics innovation, translation, and deployment in clinical settings are also strongly encouraged. A strong record of impactful research with evidence of external funding. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineers, clinicians, industrial partners, and multidisciplinary teams.
