The Role :

The Supervisor, Client Operations (Authorizations Lifecycle) oversees the daily execution of authorization intake and accuracy for a team of coordinators and specialists. This role ensures authorizations entering Salesforce—whether manually entered or received through automated processes—are accurate, timely, and verified before moving downstream to billing.

The Supervisor manages daily team priorities, serves as the front-line quality gate for authorization accuracy, executes established audit processes, and coaches the team to maintain consistent quality and turnaround standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of authorization coordinators and specialists, assigning workloads, setting priorities, monitoring throughput, and ensuring established turnaround times and service levels are met.
• Oversee front-line quality control for authorization intake, reviewing entries for accuracy and resolving discrepancies involving hours, service codes, units, caps, and backdated authorizations.
• Conduct regular audits of manual and automated authorization entries, document findings, identify recurring error patterns, and drive appropriate corrections and coaching.
• Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, 1:1s, performance management, and onboarding, reinforcing the impact of authorization accuracy on billing and downstream processes.
• Maintain dashboards and trackers for authorization accuracy, turnaround time, missed entries, workload, and audit findings, escalating trends or risks requiring Sr. Manager intervention.

This is a hybrid position, coming into the El Segundo office up to 3x per week.

Work Schedule: Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Depending on the position and business needs, employees may be required to work any scheduled shift within these operating hours.

What You Bring to the Table :

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in authorization processing, utilization management, or related healthcare operations.
• 1+ year of people leadership or team lead experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with authorization entry, verification, or auditing in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Experience with Regional Center funding, home care, healthcare services, managed care, or other payor-facing operations preferred.

The expected California Pay Range for this position:

$70,000—$80,000 USD
