Details Emergency Department setting caring for adult to geriatric patients Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified Floating required within facility and scope of practice, with possible floating to sister campus No on-call requirements Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent ER experience required Experience with management of dysrhythmias, central line care/management, IV vasopressors, and IV therapy/phlebotomy Experience with CPAP/BiPAP management and care of ventilated patients required Experience with cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and triage required Epic charting experience required Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred First-time travelers accepted Additional Information Provide emergency department nursing care across a wide range of acute and critical conditions Navy blue scrubs required Max RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized prior to start with no requests during orientation week Holiday coverage required for Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/Day, with limited holiday RTO consideration only if three holidays fall within the assignment Local candidates accepted at the same rate Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler Returning travelers who were previously unable to return to a facility must complete one successful assignment outside of Piedmont before rebooking Shift and schedule as listed are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted Full compliance required to start on time, with documentation due prior to start date American Traveler Job ID P-749082.
