Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac Catheterization Lab – Alaska

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, day shift. On-call requirement includes one weekday per week and every fourth/fifth weekend (Friday 1800 – Monday 0730). Approximately one Saturday per month as part of scheduled shifts. Guaranteed 70 hours per two-week period.

• Work with advanced cardiac technology including Impella, IABP, laser, rotablator, shockwave, and CSI equipment
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations including PCIs, angioplasty, stent placements, and IABP procedures
• May float to Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology within the department to meet patient care needs
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers welcome with 40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Current Alaska RN license (pending licenses accepted for submission; active license required for final offer)
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Proficiency with ACT monitoring, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, procedural sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and vascular access
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Willingness to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
