The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and fabrication, and will be a self-motivated team player.Starting rate at $30.25 per hour plus shift differential, monthly bonus, medical begins on day one, many other benefits.Major Responsibilities and Essential FunctionsDiagnose and repair electrical equipment and components such as motors, drives, relays, starters, and other related electrical devices for industrial equipment.Provide technical support for all electrical process equipment.Perform all tasks and duties necessary for efficient start-ups, daily operation, change-over and shut-downsPerform preventive maintenance and repairs on production machines, electrical systems, heating, cooling and steam systems, material-handling equipment, plumbing, hydraulic/pneumatics equipmentPerform maintenance tasks and tasks directed by plant supervision on all equipmentComplete work orders as requiredRespond efficiently to maintenance calls on the production floorAssist in providing installation of new machineryInventory spare parts and report usage; suggest re-order to maintenance leadMaintain neat and orderly work area, properly maintain toolsQualificationsPreferred Job Qualification RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentCurrent working knowledge of 480V, 3-phase electricityExperience with programmable controllers (PLC's) and Honeywell process controlsExperience in troubleshooting and reading electrical/mechanical schematicsUnderstanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and ability and knowledge of gauges and measurementsMachining, welding, fabrication and millwright experience is a plusAbility to communicate with production operators and other maintenance technicians to be able to explain mechanical processes and root causesStrong focus on safety and qualityMust be a self-starter and maintain a positive attitudeAbility to work with little or no supervisionInterpersonal skills that demonstrate teamworkGood problem-solving abilities and result-orientedLead by examples always (no safety violations, use proper PPE, show up to work on time)Must follow and abide by Company policiesMust maintain good attendanceMust be able to become certified in fork-lift, scissor-lift, and other material handling equipmentAvailability to work overtime and during off-shift hours as neededAvailability to be called-in for emergencies as neededThis position requires use of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)Individual must be a Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) (22 CFR §120.15.)Physical RequirementsMust be able to walk, bend, pull and push without assistance (example: brace, cane)Capable of walking and standing for up to twelve (12) hours per dayConstant exposure to indoor manufacturing environmentFrequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel materialConstant use of hand/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel or handle and manipulate parts and toolsConstant requirement of specific vision abilities including close vision, distant vision, depth perceptionConstantly wear appropriate PPE including but not limited to eye and foot protectionAbility to work in extreme temperatures, and around machinery and chemicalsAbility to lift to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques and Company-provided equipmentReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functionsThis job description does not state or imply that all duties to be performed are specifically identified above.
