Job Description:

4-1200 is a unit for patients (age 18 and up) with intensive symptom management needs at end of life. The unit also cares for general medicine overflow. Telemetry experience is NOT required!

Responsibilities:

• Provide intensive symptom management for end-of-life patients.
• Manage patients with complex needs and support families in crisis.
• Assess and advocate for patients who may no longer communicate independently.
• Deliver wound care and maintain good IV skills.

Requirements:

• NYS RN License
• 2 years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience
• BLS from AHA
• Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification highly desired
