Job Summary


Our client is seeking a Commercial Estimator to join their team in Spencer, IA. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or junior estimator looking to build a career in commercial construction estimating. The role involves reviewing project plans, preparing material takeoffs, developing cost estimates, and supporting the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities


Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.

Review blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

Perform quantity takeoffs and estimate labor and material costs.

Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for pricing.

Assist with bid preparation and attend pre-bid meetings when required.

Support estimating and project teams to meet bid deadlines.

Qualifications


Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).

1+ year of construction estimating experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work on-site in Spencer, IA.
