Medical Assistant, Non-Certified

Overview The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical, clerical and administrative functions. Clinical duties include, but are not limited to, triaging patients, collecting medical information, recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse and weight), assisting providers during procedures, performing routine point of care testing (cholesterol and blood glucose testing), and obtaining insurance authorizations for procedures and EKGs. The Medical Office Assistant will serve as a floater between clerical and clinical staff as needed. Responsibilities In-depth knowledge of good clinical practices as set forth by federal regulations. Solid analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.
