Independent Sales Development Representative
Beacon Advisory Partners, LLC provides fractional Controller and CFO services to growing trades and service businesses in the state of North Carolina. The firm delivers executive-level financial leadership at a fraction of the cost of full-time in-house roles, helping clients improve cash flow, profitability, and strategic decision-making. Beacon Advisory Partners focuses on practical, data-driven guidance tailored to the needs of small and mid-sized organizations.
Beacon Advisory Partners is looking for an independent, commission-only Sales Contractor (1099) to help generate new client relationships through outbound outreach to trade and service businesses across the Triangle. This is not a salaried or W-2 position; it's a true independent contractor arrangement with no cap on earnings.
You will identify and reach out to target companies, build interest in Beacon's services, and set up a discovery call between the prospect and Beacon leadership once genuine interest is confirmed. You control your own schedule, methods, and approach Beacon provides target company lists, service materials, and a simple process for submitting qualified opportunities, but does not direct your day-to-day activity.
Commission-only, ranging 20-40% of gross revenue collected from each client you originate, with the percentage determined by deal size (smaller contracts earn a higher rate). Commission is paid monthly for the life of the client relationship, as invoices are collected, not a one-time bounty. No draw, salary, or benefits; this is a 1099 independent contractor role, and you're free to represent other companies simultaneously.
Prior experience in commission-only or straight-commission sales, ideally B2B. Comfortable with outbound cold calling/prospecting with no base pay or guaranteed leads. Experience selling professional, financial, or B2B services is a strong plus. Self-directed and organized you manage your own pipeline and outreach cadence. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience or familiarity with the trades/construction/home-services industry is a plus. Must be eligible to work as an independent contractor in the U.S.
