Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Division of Vascular Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy and collaborative surgery team. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary vascular team committed to highquality, patientcentered care. Position Highlights Day shift with some hours flexibility Primary site: Downtown Campus- 43 New Scotland Ave, Albany NY 12208 Responsibilities Assesses and manages vascular surgery patients in the outpatient setting, including conducting new patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, managing postoperative followup, performing clinic‑based procedures, and providing comprehensive wound care management for patients with peripheral arterial and venous disease Enhances patient access and continuity of care within a high‑volume practice Provides comprehensive, culturally sensitive healthcare including assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, patient education, and referrals when appropriate Participates in collaborative care planning with the vascular team Supports telephone triage and call management for outpatient vascular concerns to ensure continuity of care Provides ongoing care following minimally invasive procedures, endovascular therapies, and open vascular reconstructions, ensuring safe, seamless outpatient recovery Manages postoperative followup and chronic vascular disease care Delivers comprehensive outpatient wound assessment and wound care Conducts annual evaluations utilizing ultrasound and cross‑sectional imaging This is an exciting opportunity to practice in an expanded capacity and augment the physicians’ ability to provide high‑quality outpatient vascular care, while working within one of the region’s leading academic health systems.
