About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 24 months of Med Surg/Medical Surgical experience is required. License: Must hold an active Iowa license or a compact/multistate license at the time of submission. Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) is required. Must-Have: - Previous travel experience within the last 18 months is required. - Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required. - De-escalation certification (MAB, MOAB, CPI, SAMA) is highly preferred but can be obtained during onboarding. - Trauma Level I experience is highly preferred. Description: The position requires a registered nurse to work in a medical-surgical capacity. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 5:1. Patients will include general medical-surgical cases. Nurses will administer drips, including heparin, as needed. Scrubs must be navy blue. Travelers may be required to float across multiple campuses as necessary. Experience in trauma care and de-escalation techniques will be advantageous. A professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, or director within the last 24 months is preferred.
