Job Summary:
This position is for an RN within the Operating Room for Open Heart (OR OH) specialty at a healthcare facility in Greenville, North Carolina. The role involves providing specialized cardiac, vascular, and thoracic patient care in a surgical setting. The traveler will be responsible for circulating and scrub duties in a fast-paced OR environment, supporting a team managing complex cardiovascular procedures.

Job Details:

• Shift: 10-hour days, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Schedule: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Education: RN license valid in North Carolina or a Compact State; Certifications: BLSAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support; Experience: 3 years of relevant operating room experience in cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgery; Location: Greenville, NC; Minimum Experience: 0 years
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgical procedures
• Float: Float rotation not required
• Additional Information: The role includes call and weekend call responsibilities. The assignment duration is 13 weeks. The bed count is 7 CVOR suites with staffing ratios of 1:1 RN-to-patient. The primary patient populations include cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical patients, involving procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, vascular interventions, thoracotomies, and minimally invasive surgeries. The RN will perform circulating and scrub roles, managing surgical equipment, supplies, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.
