Emergency Medicine Physician

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• End Date: Ongoing for 1 year
• Schedule: 6a-6p, 6p-6a with single physician coverage at most sites
• Cover multiple sites

Clinical Details

• Number of Beds: 5-18
• Daily Admissions: 10% admissions at FSEDs and 20% at main facilities
• Level IV trauma centers
• All sites see high acuity
• Required Procedures: Must be efficient in central line placement, intubation, dislocation reductions, stemi, strokes, OB deliveries, Ultrasound utilization, chest tube placement, trauma management, laceration repair
• Support Staff: Each site has APP coverage (9-24hrs of APP coverage every day)
• Average Patient Census: 45-80
• Common Cases: All Variety of Emergency Medicine Cases

Requirements

• Flexibility in Schedule:
  • Provider MUST be willing to work day AND night shifts
  • Provider MUST be willing to work weekdays AND weekends
• DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
• Board Certified: ABEM for main facilities; ABFM or ABIM with ER experience for FSEDs
  • At least 2 years of ED experience to work in FSEDs or Family medicine with Emergency medicine fellowship
• Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered 'Local', and will not be eligible for this role
• Active TX license
