Registered Nurse - Labor and Birth

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care in a collaborative environment. Key duties: Utilize the nursing process, evaluate care effectiveness, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, uphold patient rights, and maintain confidentiality. Work environment: Labor & Birth unit providing compassionate care to mothers and newborns, supported 24/7 by OB hospitalists, anesthesia, and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists. Known for safe staffing ratios and clinical excellence. Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited nursing program (associate's, diploma, or BSN). Must hold a current RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, and others may be required based on the unit. Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform tasks involving bending, reaching, kneeling, and twisting.
