Job Description
Registered Nurse - PCU

Schedule

Shift: 3x12 1845-0715 (36 hours per week). Must be willing to work holidays and weekends with 4 weekend shifts required per 4 weeks.

Assignment Details

Contract duration available through 2/27/2027. Floating to other units as needed may be required.

Requirements

• BLS & ACLS required
• 2 years of cardiac experience required
• NIHSS preferred
• MS/Tele/Step down experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of cardiac experience
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with various cardiac conditions including atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, and CAD.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and wellness.
• Assist with special procedures in a cardiac care unit.

Compliance / Notes

RTO after booking is not allowed, and any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could lead to cancellation. Contract staff may be required to report to work during disasters or mass casualty events.
