Activity Assistant Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Highfield Gardens Care Center, a leading sub-acute and long-term care facility in Great Neck, New York. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and engaging environment for our adult day care residents. Activity Assistant Responsibilities:
- Implement meaningful activities, programs, and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
- Coordinate with therapists, healthcare professionals, and family members to develop individualized activity plans that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as grooming, dressing, and mobility exercises
- Engage residents in various activities, including arts and crafts, games, outings, and entertainment programs
- Maintain accurate records of resident activity participation and progress
- Collaborate with other team members to create a positive and supportive environment
Activity Assistant Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar role or related field
- Ability to communicate in Persian a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
