Details Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a dedicated rehabilitation hospital 91-bed teaching hospital setting Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Patient ratio of 1:6 Weekend coverage required, approximately 1 weekend per month May float between units Epic charting system preferred No on-call requirements Scrubs of any color accepted Requirements Active Occupational Therapist license required if applicable Compact WA state license must be in hand at time of submission Minimum 1 year of experience required Current BLS certification required Acute care OT experience preferred Trauma Level II experience preferred Epic EMR experience preferred Experience with adult rehabilitation populations including CVA, amputee, dementia, and Parkinson's disease preferred Experience with orthopedic conditions such as hip fracture, total hip/knee replacement, and soft tissue injuries preferred Skilled in adaptive equipment assessment, cognitive assessment, and community re-entry planning preferred Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered for this position Responsibilities include evaluations, assessments, reassessments, discharge planning, and plan of care documentation Focus areas include activities of daily living, home exercise programs, patient/family education, and safety and injury prevention Perform lifting and transfer techniques as part of patient care Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel contractor and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for standard travel pay Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required No fee for parking American Traveler Job ID P-745172.
