Our people are a major part of our process and successWe are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring our bakery operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art bakery equipment while contributing to the production of premium artisan sourdough products that delight customers nationwide.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex bakery equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systemsExecute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs on all production equipmentPerform routine inspections and maintenance based on work orders and established PM schedulesMonitor machinery performance to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize operational efficiencyDiagnose and resolve issues with 3-phase power systems and motor control circuitsTroubleshoot and repair sophisticated electrical and mechanical systemsAnticipate potential problems and implement proactive solutions in a timely mannerIdentify and recommend opportunities for equipment improvements and operational enhancementsTrack and communicate parts inventory needs based on usage patterns to the Plant EngineerMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationCollaborate effectively with production teams to coordinate maintenance activitiesStrictly adhere to company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety protocolsMaintain clean, organized work areas before shift completionFollow all safety procedures and contribute to a culture of workplace safetySupport special projects and initiatives as assignedParticipate in continuous improvement effortsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians as neededRequirementsCertificate or diploma from an accredited trade school in a related technical fieldThree years of hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial or food manufacturing equipmentEquivalent combination of relevant education and practical experienceStrong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for electrical and mechanical systemsElectrical experience with industrial systemsPrior experience with bakery processing equipment, ovens, and food production machineryDemonstrated ability to work with 3-phase electrical systems and motor controlsWillingness to work weekend days and occasional holidays based on operational needsStrong attendance record and commitment to meeting scheduled work requirementsPhysical Demands and Environmental ConditionsA lot of walking, standing and bendingMust be able to stand for prolonged periods of timeExposure to extreme temperatures (cold and hot)Exposure to dust and food allergensLifting 50 pounds frequently. All Lifts over 50 Pounds require assisted liftingAll machines are equipped with Protective guards. All safety protocols must be followedMaintain regular, consistent attendance & punctuality. Must have a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidaysPosition InformationReports to: Chief EngineerLocation: LouisvilleCompensation Range: $32 to $35Closing Date: 10/20/2026Shifts Available: 3am to 3.30pm or 3pm to 3.30am - Sun to Tue or Thur to Sat with every other WednesdayCompensation is based on the level of experience, other relevant experience, and requirements of the position.
