Quality Inspector
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday Friday)
Duration: 0 6 Months
Pay: $26.00/Hour
Job Duties (Responsibilities):
- Perform incoming and outgoing material inspections at distribution centers (USA & Canada).
- Support turbine downtime reduction through on-site component inspections.
- Handle and manage materials as per safety and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials.
- Coordinate and follow up with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support corrective and preventive actions using tools like 8D.
- Maintain and update quality systems and software.
- Manage quality quarantine area and support inventory control.
- Work with cross-functional teams (operations, logistics, supplier quality, safety).
- Identify and report HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) risks.
- Provide quality support to supplier quality teams across regions.
- Travel to other distribution centers for inspections (quarterly visits).
Qualifications (Skills, Education & Experience):
Education:
- Technical/Associate degree or equivalent experience in quality, mechanical, electrical, or industrial fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (optional).
- Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) is a plus.
Experience & Technical Skills:
- 35 years of experience in quality inspection, warehouse, logistics, or similar roles.
- Experience in distribution centers or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of material handling, inventory control, and inspection processes.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
Communication Skills:
- English required.
- Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to communicate with teams in a multicultural environment.
Analytical & Other Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to analyze inspection data and support corrective actions.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques and supplier quality processes.
