Join us!Qualifications: Ideal candidates must have strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor. They must be self-motivated, reliable and be able to stand for long periods of time. Candidate must be personable. Candidates must be 18 and older.Essential Job Functions:Washes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware and kitchen items, using dish machines or by handPlaces clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in storage areasCleans work area including equipment, floors, walls and cooking areaEnsures that all levels for sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks are at specific requirements for health standardsKeeps all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderlyRemoves trash from dish room and transports to dumpster and cleans and sanitizes garbage cansPerforms other duties as assigned Food & Beverage duties (if applicable)Follows Executive Chef/Sous Chef assignments for opening and closing proceduresKeeps work area and equipment neat and cleanEducation & Experience:No experience required knowledge, but 6 months preferredSkills & Abilities:Ability to understand and follow directionAbility to complete required pre-employment food service training, if applicableAbility to work cooperatively with othersAbility to adhere to Company's Universal Service Standards Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for entire length of shiftAbility to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds and place items on high and low shelves in storeroomFrequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bend and squatPushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops and broomsEnvironmental Working Conditions:Will be in contact with chemical cleaning agentsHazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds and burns, slipping and trippingFrequently immerses hands in water; works frequently in a hot and damp environmentLocation: Grand Rapids Complex (Van Andel Arena, Acrisure Amphitheater, Amway Stadium) in Grand Rapids, MichiganPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
