Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Role Overview The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level nursing position responsible for providing competent patient care in a dialysis setting. Key Responsibilities Conducts patient assessments before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments, documents findings, and adjusts care plans accordingly. Collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver safe dialysis therapy, administers medications, and provides patient and family education. Participates in quality improvement activities, assists with emergency responses, and mentors new staff. Ensures proper laboratory procedures and supports transplant education. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with current state licensure and CPR certification. Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology experience; dialysis experience preferred. Must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and standing for extended periods. Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to policies are essential. Additional Info Role may involve supervision of staff after meeting specific experience criteria.
