Sr. Talend Platform Engineer Location: Raritan, NJ Job type: 6+ Months Contract Job Description At least 9 years of experience in Enterprise datawarehouse and Business intelligence technologies managing various data integration, migration and conversion projects. Ability to identify solutions through data analysis and understanding for business users. Familiarization with Manufacturing/Semiconductor domain preferred. Strong understanding of SDLC life cycle. Preferably specialized in agile development SAFe methodology. Good understanding of Software change management process. Expertise in using version control tools like SVN. Ability to work in a high stress fast paced environment managing multiple tasks, projects and personnel possess ability to prioritize conflicting duties and maintain timeline integrity for projects and tasks. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple different team members including information architects, business process experts, report writes, etc. Ability to demonstrate data integration best practices, ensuring all data movement follows enterprise standards and processes. Ability to self-manage while helping team members to excel in their deliverables to meet a high demanding customer community. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. Effective communicator and collaborator across all functions. 2+ years of project management experience managing a team size of 5 to 10. Monitoring day to day activities and mentoring team for combined success 5+ years of experience in IBM infoshpere datastage tool. 6+ years of Teradata database experience. Experience with Teradata utilities MLOAD, FLOAD, BTEQ, TPT etc 5+ years of experience on various scripting languages like shell, perl etc Experience with continuous improvement activities and a strong desire to help implement lean enterprise initiatives preferred. Experience working with diverse user community spreaded across different parts of the globe Highly developed organizational skills to function effectively while still maintaining attention to detail and meeting established deadlines. Manage development team capacity, forecasts, priority alignment, and allocation. Technical project management/oversight of all data integration development and delivery standards and execution and operational support Play key role in redefining Enterprise Data Management process, defining process and standards for incident, problem and change management for the entire EDW platform Drive various partner enablement meetings and take initiatives to discuss projects, risks, priorites for the essential collaborative operation of business and EDW team. Work closely with manufacturing community and help create solutions to support their day to day operations Drive proposals and lead POC's to solve business problems through EDW solutions Participate in various business users problem solving meetings and help them with data understanding to solve problems using EDW Excellent customer service skills. Lead and mentor a team. Display interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. Work on onsite-ofshore model. Review peer work and make sure that it is meeting the standards defined at the enterprise level.
