Shipping and Receiving ClerkThe Shipping and Receiving Clerk works in a manufacturing environment to support general production by accurately pulling and verifying materials and supplies for production orders. This role maintains in-process inventory at work centers, delivers materials where needed, and ensures that loading areas and machinery remain clean and organized to support efficient operations.ResponsibilitiesPull and verify materials and supplies according to production orders to ensure accuracy and availability for manufacturing activities.Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering materials and products in a timely and organized manner.Open, stage, and prepare products and materials for clients and internal production teams.Perform shipping tasks, including preparing outgoing shipments, labeling, and organizing materials for transport.Handle receiving activities by unloading, checking, and recording incoming materials and supplies.Conduct inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and support inventory control processes.Keep loading areas, storage spaces, and machinery clean, orderly, and free of obstructions to promote safety and efficiency.Perform general labor and material handling tasks as needed to support production and logistics operations.Follow established procedures and work instructions with meticulous attention to detail to minimize errors and discrepancies.Essential SkillsExperience working in a manufacturing environment.Hands-on material handling experience, including moving, staging, and organizing materials.Background in shipping and receiving operations.Ability to perform accurate inventory counts and cycle counts.Strong attention to detail and meticulous work habits.Thorough and organized approach to tasks and documentation.Capability to perform general labor duties in a production setting.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfort working in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently.Strong reliability and commitment to maintaining accurate inventory and records.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy working in a structured manufacturing environment where accuracy, organization, and reliability are valued. The typical schedule runs from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., requiring comfort with overnight hours. Work takes place in loading areas and around machinery, with an emphasis on maintaining clean, organized, and safe workspaces. The environment involves physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials as part of general labor and production support.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Branchburg, NJ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
