FLEET OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (FIRST LEVEL SUPERVISOR) (CLASS CODE 1936)

Responsibilities Technical and supervisory work in overseeing the work of employees performing skilled mechanical repair and maintenance on a diversified fleet of cars, trucks, and other similar equipment. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalency Diploma. A valid driver's license. Permanent status with the City of New Orleans and four (4) years of experience in an automotive classification at pay grade 68 or higher. OR seven (7) years of journeyman experience as an automotive mechanic, with at least one of those years at a supervisory level.
