Position Overview We're looking for an energetic, dependable Grill Cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and genuinely enjoys being part of a team. You'll be the backbone of our kitchen operation, working the grill to deliver the perfectly seared meats and fajita combinations our guests love. If you show up ready to work, communicate well, and take pride in your craft, you'll fit right in. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain the grill station, cooking chicken, beef, shrimp, and other proteins to Fajita Pete's quality standards Work in sync with prep cooks, expo staff, and the front-of-house team to ensure smooth, timely order flow Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices at all times, including temperature monitoring and station cleanliness Follow standardized recipes and portioning guidelines to ensure consistency every ticket Communicate clearly with teammates during peak rushes to manage ticket times and prevent bottlenecks Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties, including cleaning grill surfaces, restocking proteins, and wrapping down the station Adapt quickly when volume spikes and support other stations as needed Contribute to a positive, respectful kitchen culture where everyone has each other's back What We're Looking For Prior grill or line cook experience preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate A team-first attitude — no lone wolves; we win together here Ability to stay calm, focused, and upbeat during high-volume rushes Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask for help and offer it Punctual, reliable, and takes ownership of their station Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one) Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Perks & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Flexible scheduling Meal discounts Opportunity for growth within a growing brand A team culture that's fun, hardworking, and supportive Feel free to ask if you'd like this tailored further — such as adjusting the tone, adding specific pay ranges, or formatting it for a job board like Indeed or LinkedIn.
