Field Service Technician

Position Overview Ecolab is seeking a Field Service Technician whose hands‑on skills and customer‑first mindset will help shape a more sustainable future. The role supports water treatment and disinfection systems across a variety of industries, building trusted relationships with customers to protect vital resources and improve operational performance. How You’ll Make an Impact Deliver expert service and support for cooling tower cleaning and water disinfection Provide technical support and escalated assistance for complex challenges Build strong relationships with customers and promote best practices Ensure full compliance with safety policies and procedures Execute required chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer accounts Support Sales Representatives in strategic district accounts with routine service to execute customer system assurance plans Identify and resolve customer pain points, escalating as required Execute large‑scale water disinfection and related hygiene tasks Operate power washers, industrial vacuums, and basic hand and power tools for service tasks Position Details This position is based in Providence, Rhode Island . The territory covers a 200 mile radius. Up to 30% overnight travel may be required. What’s Unique About This Role Autonomous, hands‑on work in a dynamic environment Help customers meet sustainability goals while protecting critical assets Access to industry‑leading training and development programs Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent One year of experience in water treatment or an industrial/mechanical environment Valid driver’s license with no restrictions Non‑sponsorship for immigration Physical Requirements of the Position Lift up to 50 pounds Work in hot, cold, noisy, or dirty environments Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, and climbing as needed Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or trade school certification Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Experience in water treatment or specialty chemical industry Familiarity with boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Compensation The pay range for this position is $47,500–$71,300. Factors such as experience, education, training, and geography influence the final offer. Ecolab complies with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
