Field Service Technician II

Clean Harbors in Denton, TX is seeking a Field Services Technician II to join our safety conscious team. The role is field‑based, responsible for hazardous waste clean‑up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials. Travel / On Call / Emergency Response Position requires new hires to attend a two‑week Academy (paid) training, which may be out of state. Company covers expenses. Responsibilities Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting safely. Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects. Operate light and heavy equipment, use various hand and powered industrial tools. Use a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respirators and protective clothing. Work in various temperatures and all weather conditions. Work in atmospheres potentially exposed to hazardous, toxic, or corrosive chemical and physical agents. Work in confined spaces and at elevations, including ladders and scaffolding. Assist in field sampling activities and meter calibration. Climb ladders, scaffolding, trucks, tanks, and other containers. Work extended periods (>8 hours). Attend all compliance and safety update meetings. Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance. Safely load and unload hazardous and non‑hazardous waste. Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling as necessary. Complete associated paperwork such as worksheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and permits. Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules. Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements. Observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures. Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week. Potentially perform lead responsibilities. Qualifications Reliable transportation. Ability to perform physical functions required by the key responsibilities. Agree to be on‑call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays; situations can extend beyond 8 hours, up to 12‑24 hours. Previous relevant labor experience. Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination. For positions requiring respirators, meet OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard facial hair requirements.
