Director of Social Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Social Services to join our team at Mountain View Rehabilitation and Senior Living Center in Shamokin, PA. As a key member of our management team, the Director of Social Services will be responsible for overseeing the social services department and ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care and support. Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain effective social services programs and services that meet the needs of our residents
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that residents receive comprehensive care and support
• Supervise and manage a team of social workers, counselors, and other support staff
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents
• Identify and address social, emotional, and psychological needs of residents and their families
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Develop and manage budgets and program funds
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
• Foster relationships with community partners and organizations to benefit residents and the center
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work
• Licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the state of Pennsylvania
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising a team of social workers
• Excellent communication, assessment, and counseling skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
• Passion for delivering exceptional social services and making a positive impact on the lives of others
