Senior Accountant

I’m partnering with a private equity–backed company in the service industry to find a Senior Accountant who wants real ownership and a clear runway to grow as the business scales. If you’re in the far-north DFW metro — Prosper, Celina, McKinney, Frisco — or up around Sherman, this is the rare seat where the commute works in your favor. The commute (yes, really) While everyone else is crawling south toward Dallas, you’ll be driving north — against traffic — to Gunter. Living in Prosper or Celina? You’re roughly 15–20 minutes up an open road. Coming from the Sherman/Denison area? You’re a quick hop south. No tollway gridlock, no hour-long sit. Just a clean reverse commute and your morning back. About the company My client is a well-established, growing company in the service industry with a strong reputation for high-quality service, deep customer relationships, and bringing precision and financial discipline to everything they do. They’re privately held, PE-backed, and scaling — which means stability now and genuine room to advance as the accounting function builds out. What you’ll own Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close — journal entries, accruals, account analysis General ledger, bank, credit card, and account reconciliations Financial statement prep and review, ensuring GAAP compliance AP/AR oversight, including vendor and client issue resolution Payroll-related journal entries for third-party processing Audit support — schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for outside auditors Budget prep alongside the management team Process and ERP system improvements as the company grows What you bring Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong grasp of the general ledger, month-end close, and GAAP Experience supporting outside auditors and preparing workpapers Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NetSuite experience (ERP implementation experience highly preferred) Advanced Excel and working knowledge of payroll processing Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow into more Why it’s worth a look This is an on-site role with a company that’s investing in its future — and in the person who steps into this seat.
