Job Description

The File & Object Storage Engineering team delivers scalable, secure, and automated file and object storage platforms supporting enterprise application onboarding, data center builds, and rapid data growth across lines of business.

The File and Object senior infrastructure engineer is tasked with the design, configuration, and ongoing engineering of the organization’s file storage platforms. This role requires the engineer to collaborate with application teams, assisting them in onboarding their applications to utilize file and object storage solutions. Additionally, the engineer provides support with data migrations and engages closely with vendors to facilitate enhancements and resolve technical issues.

One of the key responsibilities of the engineer is to identify and implement automation opportunities that streamline daily activities. This includes provisioning, data migrations, and addressing security remediation asks. The engineer also serves as an escalation point for the operations team, providing expertise and guidance for complex issues.

Key scope includes:

• Deliver end‑to‑end provisioning (file shares and object buckets) aligned to SLA targets and enterprise demand
• Support large‑scale onboarding, data migrations, and capacity expansion for new data centers and platforms
• Drive adoption of automation (API) to reduce manual workflows and improve TAT
• Enable standardized, policy‑driven provisioning and improve accuracy, governance, and reporting
• Support platform stability by resolving complex issues and acting as escalation point for provisioning and platform incidents
• Partner with architecture, security, and platform teams to support enhancements, certification, and long‑term platform evolution
• Contribute to improving customer experience by enabling self‑service, reducing rework, and simplifying workflows

This role is critical to sustaining provisioning throughput, enabling data center expansion, and accelerating the shift toward automation‑first, API‑driven storage delivery.

Basic Qualifications

1. • 4–6 years of infrastructure or storage engineering experience
   • Experience supporting enterprise file and/or object storage platforms
   • Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills
   • Experience working in SLA ‑ driven environments

Minimum Qualifications

1. • Hands ‑ on experience with file and object storage provisioning and support
   • Experience managing provisioning requests, onboarding, and data migrations
   • Understanding of storage lifecycle (capacity, performance, lifecycle mgmt.)
   • Experience with scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
   • Knowledge of OS (Linux/Windows) and networking fundamentals
   • Ability to handle L2/L3 escalation and drive issue resolution
   • Experience working with cross ‑ functional teams (app, infra, vendors)
   • Focus on improving TAT, reducing manual effort, and standardizing workflows

Desired Qualifications

1. • Experience with NetApp ONTAP and enterprise object storage platforms
   • Exposure to self ‑ service provisioning (IDP), APIs, and automation at scale
   • Familiarity with cloud storage platforms and container environments
   • Understanding of security, compliance, and governance in storage
   • Ability to contribute to automation improvements and operational initiatives
