Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and an active MD or Compact RN license. Requirements Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI (AHA certifications only for BLS/ACLS) Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Epic charting system experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration Responsibilities Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:5, up to 1:6 with lower acuity patients Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30 36 or 48 hour options accepted Every other weekend required, totaling 4 weekends in a 4-week schedule cycle Holiday coverage required as scheduled, with one major holiday request allowed Floating required within specialty and to lower acuity units as needed No on-call responsibilities Care for cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, and neurological patient populations Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, with titration skills preferred Provide care for pre/post neurosurgery, CVA, and cardiac catheterization patients Support renal and dialysis patients, including pre/post hemodialysis management Perform wound care and manage isolation precautions/PPE Travelers must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not considered local hires under facility policy Returning travelers must have a 6-month break from the health system before reassignment Former staff must be separated from the health system for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler Maximum RTO request of 7 days; requests exceeding 4 consecutive days require an additional week added to the contract Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-758666 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
