As a Wire Cutter, you'll play a key role in manufacturing high-quality cable and wire assemblies. This position involves setting up and operating wire cutting equipment, inspecting products for accuracy, performing basic machine maintenance, and supporting efficient production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.



Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Previous machine operation experience required.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Experience working with wire processing or wire cutting equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read a ruler to 1/64" and convert fractions to decimals.

Job Duties

• Set up and operate wire cutting and stripping machines according to job specifications.
• Review cut sheets and job orders to ensure accurate production.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Inspect finished products to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
• Minimize material waste through proper machine setup and operation.
• Communicate equipment or production issues to supervisors.
• Use manual tools to cut and strip wire and cable as needed.
• Assist with additional production tasks as assigned.

Physical Capabilities

• Lift and move wire spools and materials up to 70 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Maintain a fast-paced production workflow.
• Demonstrate strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to distinguish colors and read small print accurately.

What You Will Do


As a Wire Cutter you will operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to production schedules and established procedures. You will inspect finished products, replenish materials, identify equipment issues, perform routine machine checks, maintain production records, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.


The Wire Cutter supports manufacturing success by operating production equipment according to established safety and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and dependable work habits throughout every shift.
