Total Store Sanitation SpecialistAs a Total Store Sanitation Specialist, you'll maintain department fixtures and equipment cleanliness, and perform total store sanitation tasks to maintain the Store's cleanliness and safety. Key responsibilities include maintaining department cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization. Deep clean and disinfect processing areas and departments, including equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains. Maintain proper documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification functions. Properly use chemicals and cleaning tools. Use H-E-B chemical program and correctly organize and maintain stock in the maintenance room. Apply basic knowledge of product, product handling, and food preparation processes. Apply basic knowledge of assembly and use of department equipment for sanitation purposes. Apply knowledge of different types of insects or rodents and placement and use of pest control traps. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following SOPs. Communicate maintenance needs, process improvements, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders. Work with and around customers; attend to their needs. Assist customers in the location of product. Perform all duties of Total Store Sanitation Rep when needed.Qualifications and key requirements include being 18+ years old, having 1+ years of experience in maintenance or sanitation, and possessing knowledge of OSHA guidelines. Basic knowledge of product, product handling, and food preparation processes is required, along with basic knowledge of assembly and use of department equipment for sanitation purposes. Strong communication skills, time-management skills, and sack skills are necessary. Ability to prioritize competing tasks, attention to detail, ability to learn to operate equipment from various Store departments at a basic level, ability to take initiative and do what needs to be done, ability to work under minimum supervision, ability to work with a team mindset, ability to work late evenings and overnight schedules, and ability to identify types of insects or rodents and place and use pest control traps are also required. A customer service-oriented attitude and a high school diploma or GED or equivalent are needed. Completion of Company Orientation, In-store orientation, Basics of Safety, Annual Food Handler, and basic HAZMAT/Chemical Safety certifications are required upon hire.Physical demands include constantly reaching at waist, grasping, and being exposed to wet conditions. Frequently standing, walking, reaching at shoulder, reaching at knee, bending, pushing/pulling with arms, and being exposed to cold conditions. Occasionally reaching overhead, reaching at floor, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, pivoting, twisting, pinching, performing fine motor movements, and being exposed to hot, ambient temperatures, and loud noise. Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 50 lbs.
