The Infection Preventionist, reporting to the MGH Director of Infection Control, must have knowledge and experience in infection prevention and control principles and practice, the ability to make evidence-based decisions, excellent problem-solving skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.MGB is in an active change management environment and the Infection Preventionist will need to demonstrate flexibility and open mindedness as the contours of this position will actively evolve over time.Responsible for the coordination and planning of Infection Control activities. Provides guidance and consultation in the development, planning, and coordination of infection control. Conducts relevant investigations and develop reports pertinent to clinical risk management issues.Does this position require Patient Care?
