Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Orthopedics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 48 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
• Deliver nursing care under team nursing ratio guidelines
• Participate in on-call duties and weekend shifts as needed
• Float to like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius as required
• Adhere to facility compliance standards and unit-specific protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or a valid Compact (NLC) RN license in full compliance — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Prior orthopedic nursing experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least one prior completed travel nursing assignment required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
• EPIC electronic health record experience
• ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
