Building Maintenance Mechanic
University of Alaska Fairbanks
The CT1 position provides skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance services for University of Alaska Southeast facilities and equipment. This position performs a broad range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, grounds, and building maintenance duties while responding to operational needs across campus facilities. To thrive in this position, you should be someone who takes pride in doing the work that keeps the University running safely and effectively. You communicate effectively, keep others informed, and are comfortable asking questions when clarification or additional expertise is needed. You take initiative, pay attention to details, maintain accurate records, and follow established safety practices and regulatory requirements.
Most importantly, you understand that much of Facilities Services' work happens behind the scenes, but the work matters. Your ability to take pride in your work, work safely, support your teammates, and contribute to a positive campus environment is essential to succeeding in this position.
