Maintenance Team Lead

Maintenance Team Lead – Pay Rate $22.00/hour Lead the team that keeps the attraction running, ensuring both SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium and Peppa Pig World of Play remain safe and operational. This role is a hands‑on, full‑time position that offers variety, leadership opportunities, and a supportive team environment. Responsibilities Help lead and support a small Facilities team. Train and guide technicians throughout the day. Handle hands‑on repairs and maintenance around the attraction. Troubleshoot issues involving lighting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general repairs. Complete painting, wall repair, equipment setup, and preventative maintenance. Oversee opening and closing procedures. Support safety and operational standards across the attraction. Jump in wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly. Qualifications Enjoy hands‑on work and problem‑solving. Have maintenance, handyman, facilities, construction, or repair experience. Have some experience leading, training, or mentoring others. Can stay organized and productive in a busy environment. Are reliable, self‑motivated, and team‑focused. Like helping others learn and succeed. Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or facilities maintenance is a plus. OSHA or trade certifications are helpful but not required.
