Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro IR

City/State: Rapid City, South Dakota

Shift: 10 Hour Variable, 4x10 Flex, 07:00:00-17:00:00

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Neuro Interventional Radiology (IR) unit will be a member of the Stroke Team, providing specialized care for stroke patients and assisting in interventional procedures. ICU experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to stroke patients as part of the Neuro IR Stroke Team
• Manage endotracheal and tracheostomy ventilations
• Administer vasoactive and sedation drips
• Safely use paralytics
• Setup, troubleshoot, and use arterial lines and external ventricular drains
• Monitor and recover arterial puncture sites

Requirements:

• Completion of an approved nursing education program
• Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
• ICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Swan/Cordis central line catheter and external pacemakers
• Proficiency in using EPIC charting system
