Job Description
This role focuses on performing phase maintenance, depot-level maintenance, modifications, and installations on military helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, including CH-47, UH-60, SH-60, AH-64, and King Air platforms. You will work hands-on with avionics systems to route, run, and terminate wiring, install and modify equipment, and troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic issues in a modern, air-conditioned facility.
Responsibilities

• Perform phase maintenance and depot-level maintenance on CH-47, UH-60, SH-60, AH-64, King Air, and other military aircraft as assigned.
• Carry out avionics modifications and installations, ensuring all work complies with applicable standards and procedures.
• Route, run, and terminate wires and wire harnesses accurately and neatly throughout the aircraft.
• Read, interpret, and apply wiring diagrams and technical documentation to complete installations and repairs.
• Troubleshoot avionics systems and components on both rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft to identify and resolve faults.
• Use crimping and pinning techniques to assemble and repair connectors and harnesses to high reliability standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to support phase maintenance and reset activities.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 4+ years of avionics or related aircraft electrical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting experience on fixed-wing aircraft avionics systems.
• Ability to perform avionics modifications and installations, including equipment mounting and system integration.
• Proficiency in routing, running, and terminating wires and wire harnesses.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
• Crimp and pin experience for assembling and repairing electrical connectors.
• Experience working with avionics systems in an aviation maintenance environment.

Work Environment
You work in an air-conditioned aviation maintenance facility on a first shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime available as needed. The environment is focused on supporting multiple aircraft lines, including UH-60, CH-47, AH-64, and King Air, with structured phase and depot-level maintenance activities. Tools are provided on site, so you do not need to bring your own. The facility emphasizes safety, quality, and consistent performance, supported by regular reviews and a stable workload under an open-ended contract.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
