Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Must have active Illinois license to apply or be in application process Certifications: BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: PICC line management and experience with starting IVs required Previous charge experience preferred Cerner experience preferred Description: Position in the CVICU for a Registered Nurse. Shifts are 3x12 days with every third weekend required. First-timers are accepted for this position. The schedule can accommodate block requests, connect with the manager to discuss. No radius restrictions for locals. Candidate must ideally not have more than 5 days of requested time off. The client may call off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without payment for cancelled hours. Candidates are required to float as needed within the facility. Special requirements include PICC line management and IV starting experience. Charge experience and Cerner charting experience are preferred. The facility is an acute care hospital with a total of 562 staffed beds. The unit has a daily census of 6 patients including adults. The patient ratio is 2:1 during shifts. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Interdisciplinary support is available for patient care. Compliance with hospital policies and procedures is expected throughout the assignment.
