Shift: Dayshift Hours per Shift: 8 hours for 2 shifts (0700-1530), 12 hours for 2 shifts (0700-1930)

Experience: 2 years of Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required; must have travel experience (at least 1-2 assignments)

License: VA Registration Required

Certifications: BLS (must be AHA)

Must-Have: Neonate and pediatric experience preferred; trauma experience required

Description: Self-scheduling for shifts and call is utilized. Weekend requirements include 2-3 shifts per 6-week schedule period. Call requirements include 3-4 shifts per weekday and 3-4 shifts per weekend (4 hours each) in a 6-week schedule. Holiday and night rotation may be needed based on unit requirements. At least 1 holiday is expected during the contract period. Operating rooms run 24/7, with 28 OR rooms available. The average number of cases per day is 70-85. Scrubs are provided. Weekend operations include 7-8 ORs on Saturdays and 5-6 ORs on Sundays, primarily managing urgent cases along with some scheduled cases. Service lines include Orthopedics, adults and pediatrics, General Surgery, Robotics, organ transplants, ENT, Oral/Maxillofacial, Vascular/Thoracic, and Urology. Floating may be required based on low census needs. An average of 5-6 (4-hour) call shifts is expected over a 6-week schedule. A major and a minor holiday are required based on the contract duration. Epic access may be needed. Skills-based hiring is enabled.
