ALBANY, NEW YORK (USA). Our organization is currently in search of a seventh board-certified pathologist in AP/CP with fellowship training in Hematopathology to enhance our growing Division of Hematopathology.
Clinical Responsibilities Include:
- Sign-out of hematopathology cases (including bone marrow, tissue, and blood/CSF on a rotating schedule)
- Participation in shared hematopathology on-call duties
- A secondary area of expertise is preferred but not mandatory
Academic Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting one-on-one and group sign-outs with hematopathology fellows, residents, medical students, and visiting observers
- Delivering didactic lectures, leading unknown slide conferences, and supervising resident presentations such as journal clubs, gross conferences, and grand rounds
- Opportunities for translational research are available, and we encourage active participation

The base salary range is competitive and based on experience and academic rank, ranging from $224,000 to $336,500.

Our organization is the sole regionally governed not-for-profit health system serving northeastern New York and western New England. It encompasses various facilities, including a medical center, medical college, children's hospital, and several community hospitals.
The medical center serves as the academic core of our health system, featuring 767 beds and a robust Pathology department with 21 faculty members, an ACGME-accredited residency program, and an ACGME-accredited hematopathology fellowship program. Our clinical laboratory is equipped for fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) and molecular diagnostics, supported by a well-equipped research laboratory for translational research initiatives.
