Learn more about Olympic Steel at iamolympicsteel.com.The Quality Technician is responsible for conducting routine tests and inspections on products, assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with data collection & supplier claims. The technician performs capability studies, first-piece inspections & records results, as well as assisting with ISO compliance and training. The Technician will work closely with our production employees to ensure that inbound material is correct, and that all outbound products meet quality standards. The Quality Technician participates in special projects as needed and works with other departments to ensure a quality product.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required, further education preferred1+ year of experience in manufacturingAbility to read blueprints/drawingsExperience with calipers, micrometers and ability to read a tape measureAbility to work well both independently and with a teamWorking knowledge of both Microsoft Office and ExcelExperience with various computer systems, including ERP Systems or online quality systemsPrevious experience in CNC, Laser Burning or Oxyfuel Burning preferred*This is a 2nd shift role: 4:30PM - 1:00AM, Mon - Fri**Olympic Steel offers comprehensive benefits, including:Medical, dental, and vision benefitsPaid holidays and vacation401(k) with employer matchTuition reimbursement & Employee Discount ProgramsReferral programWe offer more than a competitive total compensation package.
