Our client is seeking a customer-focused Local CDL Delivery Driver & Yard Specialist to join their team for a hands-on, outdoor role. The primary objective is to provide professional delivery services, ensure the safe transportation and care of plant materials, and support the yard team. This position offers a steady schedule of 40+ hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with seasonal Saturday hours from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. between April 1st and October 1st.
Our client is a highly respected, multi-generational wholesale plant nursery and landscaping supplier based in Wixom, MI. Operating successfully for over 50 years, they are recognized for their deep industry knowledge, exceptional customer service, and commitment to providing top-quality plant materials to licensed landscape contractors. Responsibilities
- Deliver plant material safely and efficiently to customer sites.
- Prepare plant material carefully for customer deliveries.
- Load plant material securely into company trucks.
- Maintain the delivery fleet and associated equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
- Unload and process incoming plant shipments in the nursery yard.
- Plant, pot, and maintain container-grown shrubs, trees, and perennials.
- Assist the team with harvesting field-grown trees as needed.
Requirements
- Possess a valid CDL Class A license with an air brakes endorsement (Required).
- Demonstrate the ability to safely lift heavy materials on a regular basis.
- Exhibit the physical ability to work outdoors effectively in all weather conditions.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining highly detail-oriented.
- Possess a strong work ethic and maintain a positive attitude.
- Bring prior plant knowledge (Preferred, but not required).
- Speak Spanish (Beneficial, but not essential for the role).
