Type: Permanent
Shift & Schedule: Full-Time | Mixed Shifts (Flexible 7 to 10-Hour Shifts)
Pay: $30.34/hr - $42.47/hr (Hourly base rate is determined by total cumulative years of certified laboratory and leadership experience).

• Minimum Rate: $30.34/hour
• Midpoint Rate: $36.41/hour
• Maximum Rate: $42.47/hour

Shift Differentials: Applicable for Evening, Night, and Mixed Shifts

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Medical Technologist Lead for an exciting Local job in Bradenton, FL.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary laboratory point of contact for the facility's trauma team during assigned evening and night shifts.

• Perform stat and routine laboratory testing across multiple laboratory disciplines in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain competency and active scheduling across Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, Hematology, and multiple laboratory sections.

• Correlate, interpret, and validate complex and critical patient test results using independent clinical judgment.

• Perform specimen collection, specimen processing, and referral testing tracking as required.

• Support laboratory leadership with quality control monitoring and regulatory compliance initiatives.

• Assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive laboratory environment.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient care.

• Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and process enhancement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida Medical Technologist License.

• Licensure in Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, and Hematology.

• Associate Degree in a scientific field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical medical laboratory experience.

• Minimum 3 years of experience working across at least 5 distinct laboratory areas.

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

• Ability to function effectively in high-pressure trauma situations.

• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science.

• Previous laboratory leadership or lead technologist experience.

• Experience supporting trauma center laboratory operations.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards.
