92F Petroleum Supply Specialist

Overview Fuel is a vital component of the Army National Guard. As a Petroleum Supply Specialist, you will ensure the proper handling, storage, and shipment of petroleum-based products, such as oil, fuel, and compressed gas. You will supervise reception, storage, and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum products; operate specialized pumping equipment to load trucks, ships, trains, and aircraft; select and submit samples for testing; perform petroleum and water accounting; test samples for contamination; repair specialized equipment; and follow facility safety procedures and storage guidelines. The Guard offers certified apprenticeship programs for some specialties in this occupation. Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training to learn fundamental Soldiering skills, followed by 11 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which combines hands-on and classroom instruction.
