Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management

Our client is seeking a Security Engineer . This individual will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and remediating security vulnerabilities across cloud and on-premise environments. This is a hybrid position based in New York, NY.

Starting at $50/hour.

Security Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage and improve the organization's Vulnerability Management program across infrastructure, cloud, and endpoint environments
• Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and remediation tracking across enterprise systems
• Administer and maintain enterprise Vulnerability Management platforms such as Rapid7, Qualys, or Tenable
• Conduct cloud vulnerability scanning across Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid Active Directory environments
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities

Security Engineer's Qualifications and Skills

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Vulnerability Management, security engineering, or a similar security operations role
• Strong experience with enterprise Vulnerability Management platforms such as Rapid7, Qualys, or Tenable
• Experience with cloud vulnerability scanning across Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid Active Directory environments
• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools including PowerShell, Python, and API integrations
• Experience building, running, and improving a Vulnerability Management program
