Registered Nurse House Supervisor

Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor (PRN) Responsibilities Assess the physical and psychological conditions of patients continuously throughout their care journey. Utilize the nursing process in alignment with the philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles of SSBH. Uphold a safe therapeutic environment grounded in core values. Oversee and ensure staff adherence to standards of care, mental health practices, and hospital policies. Lead and contribute to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, and performance improvement initiatives. Provide essential supervision, leadership, and direction to nursing staff. Evaluate program effectiveness, formulate improvement plans, and implement necessary changes. Coordinate staffing schedules based on patient needs and maintain legal processes for patients. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and regulatory standards. Develop, update, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by Nursing Services. Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, document patient information, and reassess changes in patient condition. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program and possess a valid Washington State RN license (Bachelor’s Degree preferred). Minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility and psychiatric nursing management. Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and state/federal regulatory standards. CPR certification. Successful completion of crisis intervention training within 90 days of employment and prior to participating in restraining procedures. Excellent crisis management, time management, flexibility, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm, organized, and professional demeanor.
