Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): PALS / ACLS / BLS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: experience needed are for radiology related procedures such as Para's, Thora's, Biopsies, Drainage, monitoring sedation patients.; Varies/ Inpatient and Outpatient; Peds through Geriatric

Job Duties: Assist Interventional Radiologist with imaging invasive procedures, coordinate IR MD schedule, work with floor RN's regarding patients, work with Imaging techs regarding procedures. Assist with sedations, pacers, place PIV, etc. **RN will NOT have to scrub in. Occasionally, the RN will put on sterile gloves to hold pressure. RNs will sedate and monitor**

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Experience in Interventional Radiology
EMR/Equipment: Cerner / MRI Safe Pumps / EKG Monitors
Interventionalist hours/on call: IR MD M-F 8am-5pm and Saturday 8am to 12 noon. On-call after hours.
Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Imaging Director and manager on site on weekdays. Nurses rotate charge assignments

IR Techs: IR techs support in Cath Lab- not in Imaging / IR RN will need to support IR MD, CT, MRI, US, and Radiology Staff
Shifts & Scheduling : 8 hour shifts/ 5 days a week.
Weeknight/Call Requirements: No call
Weekend/Call Requirements: No call
Scrub Color/Dress Code: navy blue
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 3/4 different shifts for RN's- all day shifts. There is a department orientation that we provide
