AR Bookkeeper

Finance & Accounting — Remote or Office | Part-Time

Reports To: Senior Accountant

Schedule: Part-Time | 20 hrs/week

Location: In-person (Utah office) or remote — U.S.-based and international candidates considered

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented AR Bookkeeper to manage our company's accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate

and timely invoices, collections, and cash application. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid

understanding of bookkeeping principles, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers regarding payment

matters. This is a part-time, remote role supporting a multi-location restaurant group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Generate and send accurate customer invoices in a timely manner

● Record and apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, credit card, wire transfers) to appropriate customer accounts

● Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due balances

● Communicate with customers regarding billing questions, discrepancies, and collections

● Process credit memos, refunds, and adjustments as needed

● Maintain accurate and organized customer account records

● Identify and escalate collection risks or delinquent accounts to management

● Support internal and external audits by providing AR documentation as requested

● Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes

● Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures

● Reconcile receivables from third-party delivery platforms (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub) across locations

● Process catering and corporate account invoicing (remove if not applicable)

QUALIFICATIONS

● High school diploma required; Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

● 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounts receivable experience

● Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required; experience with Xero, NetSuite, or Sage a plus

● Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills

● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

● Fluent English required — written and verbal, including live phone/video communication with customers

● Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

● Basic understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles

● Prior experience working with U.S.-based companies preferred for candidates outside the U.S.

PREFERRED SKILLS

● Experience with ERP systems

● Knowledge of collections best practices

● Bookkeeping certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) a plus

● Prior experience in restaurant, hospitality, or multi-location retail accounting a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

● Part-time position (20 hours per week)

● In-person (Utah office) or remote — U.S.-based and international candidates will be considered

● Remote candidates must maintain a minimum of 4 hours of overlap with Mountain Time (MT) business hours daily

for customer communication and team coordination
